FLOSS

Also known as stranded thread, floss and mouliné, this is a hi-sheen mercerized 100% cotton thread that splits easily into 6 individual strands. Combining any number of stranded embroidery threads gives the embroiderer creative freedom to achieve a multi-dimensional look, resulting in an embroidery piece that has beautiful depth and perspective.

Stranded embroidery thread is most commonly used for cross-stitch projects but can also be used in several other embroidery projects such as needle painting, hardanger and Jacobean -style embroidery. It is the perfect choice for smocking as well as counted thread techniques, applique patchwork and drawn or pulled thread work.

PERLE

This is a hi-sheen mercerized 100% cotton twisted thread that cannot be split. It is available in two thicknesses:
– #8 (Medium)
– #12 (Thinnest)

Perlé is highly suitable for any number of popular embroidery techniques, including cross-stitch, needlepoint, dimensional embroidery, and other types of creative thread work such as Folk-Art styles and tapestry work. This high-quality embroidery thread is versatile enough to be used for crochet and knitting projects and is also effectively used in Crazy Quilting. Perlé embroidery thread can be used very successfully in jewelry design, decorative tassel work and in decorative applique patchwork.

CARE GUIDE

We recommend the use of a 100% pure soap and handwash your finished  products with cold or lukewarm water.

Wet your product, rub soap onto your embroidered work, leave for a few minutes. Rinse with plenty of  cold or lukewarm water. Place on a towel face down and press gently. Air dry out of direct sunlight.

GENERAL WARNING: DO NOT LEAVE EMBROIDERED WORK TO SOAK.
